We adore the library of Twig and Tale’s beautiful sewing patterns, and when we saw the Driftwood blouse we immediately made plans to add it to our list of #fielddaymakes for a special little person in our lives.

Notions — None, although elastic for the cuffs could be handy for a busy little person!
Alterations — We made no alterations but really enjoyed the choices offered in this pattern. We chose to make the tie neckline closure, a gathered sleeve cuff, long sleeves and added the statement ruffle collar for a frilly impact.

There are quite a few options to choose from to customise the Driftwood blouse to your liking. We decided on the long sleeves for colder seasons and a statement ruffle collar to make it a little extra fun!

The lucky recipient of the Driftwood Blouse was very excited to see their blouse in progress and was equally overjoyed when they finally had the chance to try on the finished creation. The midweight cotton sits beautifully and is the perfect weight for the romantic ruffle collar.
